Our vision
For generations, Linex teams have worked to design quality lightweight boards that contribute to a sustainable, circular economy.
By producing recyclable products and recycling wood, the board industry plays a major role in the respectful use of natural resources.
This circular economy model will be fully operational by 2025, with the realization of the Linergy Project.
The plant will then be 100% powered by self-generated energy from green process by-products.
Our role as a carbon sink
Through photosynthesis, the trees in a forest capture CO2 and store it in the form of wood.
The CO2 stored in wood is kept out of the atmosphere for the entire life of a wood product.
Recycling extends this life.

Linex thus stores 550,000 tonnes of CO2 per year (1 tonne of CO2 per cubic metre of wood).
Prioritizing waste management methods, and cascading use, promotes reuse and recycling to prolong carbon storage and preserve resources. At the end of several cycles, when end-of-life wood is no longer reusable or recyclable, it can be recovered as energy.

By storing carbon in our wood products, we extend the forest’s role as a carbon sink, making our contribution to a carbon-neutral economy.
